Class Blog - 6W

This week (Term 3, Week 2) I have started using a class blog with my Grade 6 students.
I am using the program "Global 2" and my students are really enjoying it!
Global 2 is really simple to use and to set up. All you need is your students emails and you can create simple usernames and passwords for them.
As soon a my students logged on for the first time they saved the link to their "favourites" and now they must access it every day to see if there is any new posts. I have used it so far for check ins and reflections!!
The feedforward from my kids is really positive and I am looking forward to seeing where it takes me for the rest f the year!

Welcome to my first blog post on my first ever blog! This blog is simply a reflection on my daily classroom teachings as well as my teaching practices and my philosophical teaching views. My name is Kaiti Walters and I am a Grade 6 teacher at Swan Hill Primary School in the small rural town of Swan Hill in Victoria, Australia. This is my second year of teaching. I finished year 12 in 2009, went onto university for 4 years at La Trobe Bendigo and then received my first job last year! This year I have a grade of 27 students and I continue to learn and develop as a teacher every single day! I hope you enjoy reading my blog!
